"... another song we did about in the year of 1833, and I think it is pretty true still today, if you can dig it."

Listen.

I did macrame wall-hangings like that too in 1970. I haven't thought of it in years.

True in 1833, true in 1933, true in 1970, and doubtless will be true in 2033...

I'm thick as a plank -- wasn't that song written by Dylan? I don't get the 1833 reference.

Where is the photo taken?

robin andrea, Dawn, Solitary Walker, Dale and TaraDharma -- Thanks for your comments [and the
stone(o)from you, Dale]!

TaraDharma -- My guess was that Jimi Hendrix referred to 1833 in reference to the days of slavery. I Googled “1833” and found this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_Abolition_Act_1833

I noticed that the day that the Slavery Abolition Act was signed in England was exactly 130 years, to the day, before Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech on August 28, 1963.

The photo is of the industrial section of Grant Street in Bellingham, heading south toward downtown.
