Ocean

Agate Cove Inn in Mendocino, California, has a webcam that I look at frequently.  December 30th was the first day in my many years of looking at this webcam that I have seen a person included in the view, and so I cropped the image for this post on the evening of New Year's Day.  I can feel myself standing at the ocean, as I have done so many times in my life until recent years.

Kind wishes to all for 2016!

'Unhappy about some far off things
That are not my affair, wandering
Along the coast and up the lean ridges,
I saw in the evening
The stars go over the lonely ocean...'

Best wishes to you too for the New Year, Am!

We went to the ocean on the first day of the year to celebrate this beauty. I'm glad you saw this view from the webcam. Our very beautiful earth. Happy New Year!

Robert -- Happy New Year! Thank you for the words from Robinson Jeffers. He is never far from my mind when I think about the coast of California.

robin andrea -- Love your photo of the wave with the rainbow!

Wish you a very happy new year 2016.

It is such a beautiful view from there. I'd have expected more people to be there, looking out to sea.

Anil P -- Thank you so much for your comment. Kind wishes to you in 2016. That is in a remote part of Northern California. It is so far from any large city that the night sky is filled with stars that most people never see. The Milky Way is visible there.
