SCOTTISH FOLK SONG / LONG WAY HOME

Debra Winger and Arliss Howard

For a handpicked selection of videos like this one of Bob Dylan singing "Pretty Peggy-O," see DylanTube. Also see "The Bonnie Lass o' Fyvie."

To my ear, the arrangement has echoes of "Ring Them Bells":

Right now my energy is at a low point, but I can still read and listen. That's a photo from the Bellingham Herald. It's Taylor Street Dock in the fog.

i agree, the arrangement to that version on pretty peggy-o is much like ring them bells.

ring them bells is like this
D G D D A G D D G
D G D

pretty peggy-o goes something like this.
D G D D Bm F#m G D D G
G G D

they are very similar progressions.

Hope you're getting the same sunshine up there that we're getting at this end of the Sound.

I've been so active that I actually skipped a birding trip this afternoon because I'm physically tired. Largely the result of three long walks in the last four days.

Still, the sun definitely lifts my energy level, and hopefully yours, too.

I hope your energy will soon be restored, Am. I've been feeling a bit off for awhile now too. Here's looking forward to better days somewhere ahead.
